Our leadership was built in the field, not in a classroom.

Between us, we bring more than 54 years of leading staff in one of the largest organizations in the country. The days were fast paced, deadline driven and high stress, the workplace was unionized, and the work never waited for anyone to feel ready. Along the way, we developed the new supervisors coming up behind us.

We learned what keeps employees focused and committed to the mission when the pressure is on. When you lead people instead of managing tasks, something shifts. You build a culture people choose to belong to.

Meet the founders

Two facilitators, two perspectives.

Nanette Watson

CEO, Facilitator, Coach and Course Designer

Nanette brings 28 years of leadership across operations, customer service, human resources and labor relations, including an analytical role at the headquarters level. Her training as a certified sports coach brings a performance coaching lens to each session, and as a John Maxwell Team Certified Coach, Speaker and Trainer, she gives each course she designs a practical structure.

Virginia Tabb

COO, Facilitator, Coach and Project Manager

Virginia brings 26 years of leadership across large scale operations and project management. With an EMBA and an MSM in Project Management, a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and John Maxwell Team certification as a coach, speaker and trainer, she brings project management discipline to each course and coaching session. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Founder experience

For nearly ten years, Nanette and Virginia trained and developed newly promoted supervisors. Their classes became widely known, and leaders across the country reached out to them for guidance. For the past five years, they have mentored and coached leaders online through The Lively Office and designed its training courses on conflict management, leadership and confidence.
